Here is our newest member....Bella. A flop eared bunny that I fell in love with. She is a very tame little girl, likes to be held, but has a bit of a spunky side, since we found out that she can run very fast and hide under the pine tree (much of which Jon found out that after I asked him to watch her in the front yard). But here she is!

New stuff
Well it seems like posts are getting fewer and farther between. This has been due to many reasons...which I hope Jon will share soon! Big news ahead for the Blehm family.
But I did want to share with you all that in continuation of this blog I have set up another blog. I'd like to think that is was a little help from the movie "Julie and Julia". I have set up a blog about the new recipes that we try each week, how we feel about them and maybe where they came from. Along with some posts on some new eats that Jon and I try out on date nights....they are few, but sometimes we do actually get out of the craziness! :) So hop on over and check out our other blog!

March flew by
March flew by for us! More sick kids, big plans and basement framing!!!
Nathan caught another cold, this one created an extra runny nose that made his little nose really sore underneath. On a positive note, he conquered walking on sloped driveways, rocks and stairs!!!! He also loves the playhouse where he spends his time outside now.
Zachary ended the month with another doozy of an ear infection. Daddy thought he could get through this one without seeing the doctor, but mommy knew better. He had a really bad ear infection which left him drained and grumpy. He did manage to get outside some to enjoy his hour long swing sessions.
Rebekah got her 3rd quarter report card with good grades. We got to take a class trip to the zoo where Rebekah got to wander around with 3 other little girls.
Thomas got his 3rd quarter report card with good grades as well. He continues to amaze us with reading 4th grade level books.
Jeni and I are busy trusting in the Lord for our future. It started with buying a service truck at an auction and starting up a repair/maintenance business. As if we don't have enough going on, we started finishing the basement back in January and have half of it framed as of tonight. Spring break was filled with going to the park, making grebel with Grandma and Grandpa Hettinger, and playing outside. We were also blessed with Disney on Ice tickets from Grandma Zim. Rebekah and Thomas loved the show. Zach and Nathan were restless at the end but we made it through!!!!

The end of February!
We are finally to the end of February, and I am hoping that with the beginning of March we have left the sicknesses behind us. Pretty much from the beginning of the year the kids have had colds. Yuck! And it so decided to get worse right after Valentine's Day, through Jeni's 30th Birthday (not such a fun one) till Friday (2/26). Rebekah seemed to be the only one who had the minor cold, but Zachary had a cold, bronchitis which led to a nebulizer treatment, and double ear infections. Thomas had a cold, and 2 ear infections in different ears, and poor Nathan had a fever that lasted 5 days with his cold. Some miserable kids! Felt bad for them because all they wanted to do was sit around or be held or cry all evening. So we are hoping that it all has passsed!!

Wow its been a long time!
I didn't realize this, but it has been a long time since we have posted anything on here. Good intentions, but it seems like our life has been really busy. With what you may wonder??? Well here is a month by month play of what we have been up to and what we are currently doing!
November 2009 - Nathan got his first haircut :(, and he began walking. And when he started walking he just took off. This boy does not know how to go slow, but he likes keeping up with his sister and brothers! Also, Jon's oldest sister came out (we haven't seen her since 2001), it was great to see her and catch up. We are hopefully planning a trip out to California this summer to do a little Disneyland, see Jeni's great Aunt, and Christina! With November also brought Jon's Grandpa Blehm's passing right before Thanksgiving. We have been so blessed to know our grandparents, and for our kids to know them as well!! It is so hard to let go of someone, but wow what a place he is in now!
December 2009 - We went to see Sesame Street Elmo Live! Kids enjoyed it, even though they don't watch Sesame Street, but they did know who some of the big name characters. Also, we got to have a family tour of the Woodward Christmas display, thanks to Dad/Grandpa Z. Oh it was cold, but Woodward served up Hot Chocolate and cookies, and the older two enjoyed prancing around in the snow to get up close and personal with the scenes, and the younger two enjoyed being bundled up the in the wagon! The rest of December was full of family christmas parties, baking and decorating cookies and of course Christmas! Lots of presents!! We ended the year by going over to a friends house for game night. Not too bad of a year!
January 2010 - A new year! We decided to try a new church (Wellington Community Church), and are really enjoying it. The kids have been going to AWANA there, Jeni has bible study there, and we are really enjoying the fellowship there, plus it is close to home! January also has been a big home improvement month, well at least the start of it. We have started to remodel the basement. We have a lot of stuff, so we are only doing half of it right now.
The first part of February 2010 - Zachary turned 3, and had a wonderful birthday and birthday party. Mickey Mouse! His favorite thing in the world. He was treated to dinner at Buffalo Wild Wings for his Teriyaki by Grandpa & Grandma Z. Jon turned 29! His last year in his 20's!! :) He was made a lasagna dinner and John Deere Tractor cake and was also treated to dinner, this time at Carrabba's by Jeni's parents. And we are building walls, the kids have all been helping!
Thats it for right now!
